Filterly

Security Policy

This Security Policy describes how Filterly protects the local photo editing, export, advertising, and subscription workflows in the Android app.

Effective date: May 22, 2026

1. Local photo processing

Filterly is designed around local photo editing. During normal use, selected images are opened for previews, filters, adjustments, exports, and user-requested sharing on the device.

2. Permission controls

Filterly relies on Android runtime permissions and media access controls. On supported Android versions, users can grant access to selected photos. Permissions can be changed later in Android Settings.

3. Storage and deletion controls

Temporary previews, thumbnails, cache files, and settings are stored in app-controlled storage. Exported files are saved only when you request an export or share action. You can remove local app data by clearing Filterly storage or uninstalling the app, and you can delete exported images from device storage.

4. Google services

Filterly uses Google Mobile Ads, Google's User Messaging Platform, and Google Play Billing. These services provide advertising, consent controls, fraud prevention, diagnostics, subscriptions, and payment processing. Their network communication and data handling are governed by Google's security and privacy practices.

5. Account security

Filterly does not require an in-app account for editing. Subscriptions are managed through Google Play, so payment details are not entered into Filterly directly.

6. Updates

Install Filterly updates from Google Play to receive compatibility fixes, maintenance updates, and security-related improvements. Avoid installing modified app packages from untrusted sources.

7. Reporting security concerns

To report a security concern, contact Filterly at filterly.app@gmail.com. This is the primary contact email for the app and matches the developer contact email shown on Filterly's Google Play store listing. Include a clear description, affected app version, Android version, and steps to reproduce the issue if available.
