Filterly legal

Security Policy

This policy describes the security practices used by Filterly for local photo editing, export, and sharing workflows.

Effective date: May 20, 2026

1. Local-first processing

Filterly is designed around on-device photo editing. Filters, previews, and exports are processed locally during normal use, which limits unnecessary transfer of photo content.

2. Android platform protections

Filterly relies on Android permissions and scoped storage behavior to control access to user-selected media. Users can review and change granted permissions in Android Settings.

3. User-controlled sharing

Filterly shares exported media only when you choose a share action and select a destination from the Android share sheet. The selected destination is responsible for its own handling of the shared file.

4. Storage controls

Downloaded images are saved through Android media storage. Temporary previews and cache files stay in app-controlled storage and can be removed by clearing app storage or uninstalling Filterly.

5. Account security

Filterly does not require an in-app account for photo editing. This reduces the amount of account information needed for normal app use.

6. Updates

Install updates from Google Play to receive the latest app fixes, Android compatibility improvements, and security-related maintenance.

7. Reporting concerns

To report a security concern, contact the developer through the email address listed on Filterly's Google Play store listing and include a clear description of the issue.
